At the Lazy Dog we pride ourselves in producing great seasonal British food from scratch. Our menu changes daily, come in and you might find Head Chef Elisabeth Julienne breaking down a whole dry aged pig from Huntsham farm,  slow cooking some short ribs from Nigel at Buxton Butchers or furiously chopping up some fresh wild garlic. Nigel dry ages our rib eye steaks for between 35 and 42 days in a Himalayan salt chamber to leave them packed with flavour. Our fish is landed  from day boats on the south west coast and we are always happy to welcome any foragers with almost open arms or at least a cup of coffee.

Our ethos is to bring you the best possible produce, lovingly cooked and reasonably priced. We believe a great local pub should serve great food and a proper Sunday roast. Every Sunday we roast a couple of rib eyes, some lovely lamb and the best part of a pig or two with all the trimmings.

Come in and try our daily changing £6 Lunch menu from Monday to Friday and keep an eye out for our special foodie nights which are well worth a visit. And we have a private upstairs function room that can be hired for special events with a range of buffet options to suit any occasion.
