The Lazy Dog is a community pub serving high quality food and drink.
We have put together a fantastic menu of world-food small plates with some updated pub classics for the larger appetite and a cracking Sunday roast to round off your week.
Drinks-wise, the emphasis is on quality and range, with everything from real ales to cocktails available. We focus on the best Bristol has to offer where possible, sourcing the vast majority of our beers from the vast array of breweries in Bristol, through to locally made spirits and syrups.
The design of the pub is inspired by the classic gin palace-style boozers of days gone by. In a time when good old-fashioned pubs are few and far between this one has been built to last.
The upstairs bar is a nice area to relax away from the hustle and bustle. Up here we host a weekly stand up comedy night on Tuesdays and a film club on the first Wednesday of every month. The room is also available to hire out for parties.It has a dartboard and we show terrestrial TV sport where possible.
We also have a large, walled beer garden to the rear with heaters over some of the tables. A large portion of the garden is covered during the winter months, but during the summer the garden comes into its own and is the place to be to soak up the rays and have a beer and a bite with friends.
DRINKS
Rather than serving the same beers you can find in pubs up and down the country, we have put together a great selection of local, award winning beers showcasing the best Bristol has to offer, including Lost and Grounded Brewers, Bristol Beer Factory, New Bristol Brewery, Left Handed Giant and Wiper and True amongst others. With an ever changing selection of guest ales from some of the best independent breweries in and around Bristol, plus a Bitburger pilsner and Benediktiner Weissbier from Germany.
We have local real cider and two sparkling ciders, plus a great selection of cans in the fridges.
Our back bar has a range of premium spirits to rival that of any bar in the city, including local distilleries Bristol Distilling Co, Psychopomp Microdistillery, Bristol Rum Company others.
Our carefully constructed cocktail list offers a selection of classic and contemporary creations to satisfy all tastes and whims.
Our house wine is sustainable, vegan and organic, the remainder of the wine list has been put together with love by people who have a genuine passion for good quality wine and who want to share that passion with a focus on value for money.
FOOD
At the Lazy Dog we pride ourselves in producing great seasonal British food from scratch. Our ethos is to bring you the best possible produce, lovingly cooked and reasonably priced. We believe a great local pub should serve great food and a proper Sunday roast with all the trimmings.
